OS x86 Leopard goes Live
You won’t even believe how excited I am to write about this topic today on my Blog. Its about OS x86. I mentioned earlier that I am a very big fan of Apple products. Ever since I bought that iPod I just wanna buy everything from Apple. Recently I also installed mac OS X on my system. I have it with dual boot along with Vista. I had been able to install OS X in VMware on numerous occasions but could never install as my Native OS. But then came the iPC Distro. It is just awesome. Out of the Box DVD. Worked flawlessly even though I did not have the most supporting hardware.
Now PCwiz Team brings us the World’s First Live OS X. Yeah ! Live. It can be run directly from the DVD. I have not tried it though but Its gonna be awesome. I mean no hassle of installing it. Just run it straight from your DVD Rom. In some time there will definitely be some improvements and then we might be able to run it from a USB drive. Oh… Wouldn’t that be great. Anyways you guys enjoy watching the demo video while I just take a leak
OK watched it. Alright lets get to the business now. I mean you would be wondering how to get it and use it. To get It I am not going to spoon feed you. You are mature enough and I am proud of you that you know what is a torrent. If you don’t know what a torrent is then please just read some other topic from the sidebar from your right. Alright, they are all gone. So, for those who are left here is some more details for you.

How To Boot Installer
To boot the installer just boot the disc as you normally would and it will go right into the Installer. Make sure to read the pop up installation notes before installing!!
How to Boot LiveDVD
To boot the LiveDVD, boot from the
iPC Disc, except this time press F8 while booting the disc to get to the Boot Menu. Type in:config=live.plist
And press Enter to start the LiveDVD Boot. Eventually you will get to the root prompt like this:
:/ root#:
Type in the line “bootlive; exit” (without quotes) like this:
:/ root#: bootlive; exit
And press Enter to start loading the LiveDVD. Now a prompt will come up asking you to specify the RAMDisk Size. A bigger RAMDisk means more room to use the LiveDVD with, but it uses more RAM. The RAMDisk size cannot exceed your physical RAM size. To use the default 1GB RAMDisk size just leave it blank and press Enter. If you want to specify your own RAMDisk size, it must be specified in 512 byte blocks. To calculate this, say I want a RAMDisk 2048MB in size:
(2048 x 512) / 1000000
Basically the formula is (A x 512) / 1000000 where A is the RAMDisk size in megabytes (A multiplied by 512 divided by 1000000).
If everything goes well you will be greeted with the Mac OS X desktop. Where you can use and test Mac OS X in its fullest.
